What do Lambton's older miners' houses and newer homes need?

The Scottish-Australian Mining Company's colliery closed in 1936. In 1890 Lambton became the first municipality in Newcastle lit by electric lights, the same year its park rotunda was finished. Lambton Park, about 14 hectares in the middle of the suburb, was dedicated in 1887 and holds the war memorial gates and Newcastle's first inland swimming pool, opened in 1963.

The 2021 Census recorded separate houses as 76.1% of occupied homes, townhouses or semi-detached as 14.9%, and flats as 8.9%. Old timber and brick walls are cleaned with a soft wash that does not strip paint, and paths and driveways are pressure washed at a level each surface tolerates.
