House washing for the big family homes of Hamlyn Terrace

What does washing a four-bedroom Hamlyn Terrace home involve?

The suburb was split off from Warnervale and is still counted in the Warnervale development precinct. At the 2021 Census, 91% of its occupied dwellings were separate houses and most of the rest were semi-detached, row or townhouse homes, with barely any flats.

Seven in ten homes had four bedrooms or more, and the average was 3.7, so a typical wash covers long runs of wall, garage doors and a wide roof. A soft wash for the walls lifts dirt and mould from render, brick and cladding without forcing water behind them. In a strata townhouse block the shared walls and driveways are common property, which the owners corporation is responsible for maintaining.
