Soft washing for Warnervale's new estates and older homes
In short: Warnervale sits west of Tuggerah Lake and just north of Wyong, and its old acreages and wetlands have rapidly become residential estates. From Bateau Bay, 15.7 km away, Central Coast Soft Wash soft washes the walls and roofs of Warnervale homes, most of them large separate houses.

Do newer Warnervale homes need a wash as well?
The suburb is named after Albert Hamlyn Warner, who bought 12,000 acres here in 1893. His travels in Japan show in road names around the area such as Nikko, and his family home on the Wyong River was called Hakone. The railway station opened in 1907, the village was gazetted in 1975, and a cafe now trades from a heritage-listed former house and general store beside the station.
In 1998 Warnervale was carved up to create Halloran, Wallarah, Woongarrah and Hamlyn Terrace, and estate building has continued since. The 2021 Census shows the result: separate houses accounted for 96.3% of the homes people lived in, and 66.5% of dwellings had four bedrooms or more.
New homes still collect dirt and mould on shaded walls, and steel needs attention where rain never reaches. COLORBOND recommends hosing down sheltered parts of a steel home, like the tops of garage doors and the area under the eaves, no less than every six months. A soft wash reaches those spots along with render, brick and cladding.
