What do Tascott's 1960s and 1970s houses need?

The suburb's name comes from its founder, Thomas Alison Scott, who grew sugar cane on Brisbane Water's shore from around 1835. His land was subdivided in 1920 and auctioned in 1921, and Tascott station opened in 1905 to serve the Waterview guesthouse. Until the 1960s the area stayed semi-rural, with a dairy on the flat west of the station; then subdivisions brought a wave of new houses through the 1960s and 1970s.

Asbestos cement sheeting was common in building from the 1940s to the late 1980s, and SafeWork NSW rules out high-pressure spray on it. So older eaves and wall sheeting here get a soft wash, and tiled roofs a low-pressure roof clean.
