What do homes between the reef breaks and the Wyrrabalong cliffs need?

Forresters Beach takes its name from Robert Forrester, who bought 50 acres here in 1861, and its reef breaks are well known to surfers. Today 79.8% of its occupied homes are separate houses and 18.2% townhouses or semi-detached, and a retirement village opened in 2006 on the site of the old Forresters Beach Fun Park.

The park's southern section runs along high, exposed cliffs of sandstone and shale, with blackbutt, spotted gum and bloodwood woodland on the plateau. Homes near that bush and the open coast deal with leaf litter on one side and salt on the other. Monier notes that moss and lichen settle where moisture and dirt build up and advises against pressure washers on tiles, so roofs here get a roof soft wash, while walls and eaves take a house wash.
