What do Kotara's post-war houses need?
Before the suburb, the Australasia Coal Company ran a mine in the valley below today's northern entrance to Tickhole Tunnel, with a private railway finished in 1877, but it produced little coal before the company was wound up. Westfield Kotara and the Kotara Home Centre now face each other across Northcott Drive.
