After the Second World War, 72 houses in Ellesmere, Primrose, Farlow and Gainford streets were built to house migrants; some later became married quarters for the Army and the RAAF, and they were sold off in the late 1970s and early 1980s. At the 2021 Census, separate houses made up 84.9% of occupied homes, with townhouses or semi-detached homes at 12.5%.
