What do Kahibah's houses and townhouses need cleaned?

Flaggy and Little Flaggy creeks drain the suburb east into Glenrock Lagoon, 2 km away. The name comes from the Aboriginal word Ky-yee-bah, taken to mean a place for games, or to be active and eager, and the township was gazetted in 1894.

A coal line to Redhead was built in 1880, with a station at Kahibah; the last passenger train ran in 1971 and coal stopped in 1992. The route is now the Fernleigh Track cycleway, and its Adamstown to Kahibah section opened in 2003.

Townhouses and semi-detached homes were 24.7% of dwellings in 2021, and the Memorial Hall in Hexham Street was pulled down in 1996 to make way for home units. Under NSW strata rules the owners corporation maintains common property, so shared walls in a complex are a job for it, while a house owner can book a house wash and have the driveway pressure cleaned at the same time.
