How does living beside the river mouth affect Tacoma homes?

Tacoma has a general store, Tacoma Public School and a fishermen's co-operative. Its housing is detached and fairly large: in 2021 separate houses accounted for 99.5% of the occupied stock, and half of all homes had at least four bedrooms.

Homes this close to river and lake water can stay damp on walls the sun misses, and that is where mould and algae settle. A soft wash of the walls and roof lifts it with a cleaning solution, not force.
