What does the Peats Ridge climate mean for roofs?

Settlers came to Peats Ridge relatively late, because the Great North Road to the Hunter set out from Spencer on the Hawkesbury and bypassed the ridge until the early 1900s. The area is named for George Peat, and a number of fine Aboriginal rock carvings survive here. Once citrus orchards and market gardens, it has become home to many commuters, and nurseries and horse studs remain in the district.
