Roof cleaning in Wagstaffe, between the bay and the bush

What does living between the bay and the bush mean for a Wagstaffe roof?

Named after Captain Wagstaffe, one of the area's first settlers, the village was once also called Wagstaffe Point, and the point's Aboriginal name is Kourang Gourang. It has a general store that doubles as the post office, and a ferry runs to Palm Beach by way of Ettalong. With the national park at their backs, many roofs here sit close to bush. Monier, the tile maker, says roofs near trees show debris sooner and that moss and lichen spores lodge wherever moisture and dirt gather, which is what a roof soft wash clears at low pressure.
